Admissions in all the courses are made on the basis of rules formed by Admission Committee of the College. Rules of eligibility should be strictly followed. The College recognizes the Public Examinations conducted by recognized Boards/Councils and Universities only.

  • 1st Semester (B.A., B.Sc., & B.Com)            -May-June
    • Issuing of prospectus along with admission form-April/May
    • Commencement of Academic Session         – July 1st Week
  • ELIGIBILITY FOR DEGREE COURSE (ARTS,SCIENCE & COMMERCE)

Students who have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate for Science and 45% marks in aggregate for Arts/Commerce in the HSSLC Examination or Equivalent Examinations can obtain the admission form and sit for entrance test.

  1. ENTRANCE TEST

There shall be a written test for all the courses. The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit determined by the performance in the test. The entrance test shall be conducted at the premises of the College on the date and time fixed by the College Authority.

  1. APPLICATION FORM FOR ADMISSION

Application forms are obtainable from the College along with the prospectus on payment of Rs. 300/- soon after the result of HSSLC or equivalent Examinations are declared.

  1. HOW TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION
    1. Duly filled in application form along with complete documents should reached the college office on or before the date fixed by the College Authority.
      2. Incomplete application form(s) submitted after the last date for one reason or the other shall be summarily rejected.

N.B.:

  • Counselling on subject selection, combination and career option is mandatory before admission.
  • Students offering Elective English cannot offer History and Vice Versa.
  • Political Science is made compulsory for all the Arts students.
  • In some Universities, Chemistry without Maths in B.Sc. cannot offer M.Sc. Chemistry. But in MU, NU, etc., they can offer M.Sc. Chemistry even without Mathematics in B.Sc.
  • General course for B.A. & B.Sc in 5th & 6th Semester is currently not available.
  • Change of subject combination is not permitted after admission.
  •  
  • No students shall be allowed to opt Computer Science/Mathematics/Physics/Statistics unless he/she has passed the 10+2 Examination with Mathematics.
  • As of now, there is no such rule from M.U. that a student who failed Political Science in class XII cannot offer Political Science as an elective subject in B.A. 1st Semester. However, it is advised that they should not take Political Science as Honours subject in 5th/6th Semester.
  • Class XII Science passed candidate(s) can do B.Com., but class XII Arts passed candidate(s) cannot do B.Com.
  • Class XII Commerce candidate(s) who failed in Mathematics but declared passed can continue B.Com. However, he/she must pass Mathematics paper in 3rd Semester.
  • DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION
  • 3 Photostat copies of HSLC or Equivalent Examinations Mark sheet.
  • 2 Photostat copies of HSLC or Equivalent Examinations Provisional Certificate.
  • 3 Photostat copies of HSLC or Equivalent Examinations Admit Card.
  • 3 Photostat copies of Hr. Sec. Exams or Equivalent Mark Sheet.
  • 3 Photostat copies of HR. Sec. Exams or Equivalent Admit Card.
  • 1 Photostat copies of Tribe Certificate in case of ST/SC.
  • 1 Original copy of Income Certificate. (During Scholarship form fill up
  • 2 Copies of Passport Photographs.
  • Original Migration Certificate in case of applicant coming from outside Manipur Board/Council/University.
  • DECLARATION OF RESULT

On the basis of the result conducted by Examination Committee, the list of selected candidates along with those in the waiting list will be put up on the College Notice Board on the date fixed by the College Authority. No personal intimation or correspondence will be sent in this regard.

  • PERSONAL INTERVIEW

An interview of the selected candidates will be conducted very next day after the result of the entrance test is out. They should be accompanied by their Parents/Guardians at the time of interview. This interview is to assess personality, discipline, conduct and behavior of the students. Selected candidates are required to produce the Original Certificates and to appear with formal dresses at the time of interview.

  1. PAYMENT OF FEES
  2.  Selected candidates after appearing at the personal interview should submit the duly filled in application form along with the required documents to the college admission office and deposit the admission fees to the college counter in cash or by bank draft in favor of the Principal, Mount Everest College, Senapati on or before the last date fixed by the college admission committee.
  3. Those who fail to pay the admission fees by the due date can no longer claim the right for admission. Any vacancy so caused shall be filled up from the waiting list.
  4. CANCELLATION OF ADMISSSION

The College Authority reserves the right to cancel the admission of a candidate if the information’s furnished by him/her are found incorrect or if the documents are found to be fogged or fake.

  • WITHDRAWAL OF ADMISSSION & TRANSFER
  • Once admitted, fees shall not be refunded.
  • Student seeking transfer certificate before the end of academic session shall have to pay fees for the full term otherwise no transfer certificate will be issued.
